Morocco Itinerary 4 Days

Day 1: Casablanca - Fes (Guided Tour)

After breakfast in Casablanca, you’ll leave the largest city behind and start your Morocco Itinerary 4 Days toward Fes, the cultural and spiritual heart of Morocco. The drive takes you through the fast highway, rolling coastline, giving you a chance to see a different side of the country before arriving in this historic imperial city.

In the afternoon, you’ll start exploring Fes el-Bali, the oldest city and home to one of the largest car-free urban areas in the world. With a local guide, you’ll walk through the maze-like medina, where every corner reveals something new, colorful souks, workshops, and centuries-old caravanserais.

Highlights of the day include a visit to the Bou Inania Madrasa, a 14th-century theological school known for its detailed wood and tile work, the University of Al Quaraouiyine, considered the oldest continuously operating university in the world, and the Tanneries of Chouara, where leather is still dyed in the traditional way. You’ll also have time to see the Royal Palace gates and the Mellah (the old Jewish quarter). In the evening, you can enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner in a riad-style restaurant before settling into your accommodation in Fes.

Day 2: Fes - Middle Atlas - Merzouga Desert

After breakfast, we’ll continue the Morocco itinerary 4 days over the Middle Atlas Mountains. We’ll make a pit stop at Ifrane, Morocco’s “Switzerland.” Then we continue our journey to Morocco’s largest cedar forest, where we will observe barbarian monkeys. Following that, we will head to Midelt for lunch.

Later in the afternoon, we’ll drive to the Sahara Desert, over the Tizi N’talghoumte pass (1907m), passing through wonderful Berber settlements and taking in the panoramic view of the Ziz Valley, which is densely forested with thousands of palm trees.

Following that, we will arrive in Merzouga, a wonderful land of Erg-Chebbi dunes, where you will begin your Camel Trekking Adventure to the desert camp, crossing the stunning, unique orange-colored dunes. This is a magnificent experience where you may feed your spirit while watching the sunset from the middle of the dunes. Dinner and nights will be in the camp, with local music played by drums.

Day 3: Merzouga - Todra Gorges - Dades Valley

Admiring the sunrise is one of the must-see sights, so waking up before is worth it. If you want to see the best sunrise you’ve ever seen from the top of a nearby dune in the middle of the desert, you have to get up early. After breakfast, we rode back to Merzouga on camels or in a vehicle to go back through Marrakech.

Leaving for the town of Rissani. We’ll walk around the area’s most famous traditional and largest market, looking for locally manufactured goods and arts and crafts. Later, we proceed to Tinghir via the Tafilalt Oasis, where we can stop to observe the ancient irrigation system discovered there.

After arriving in Tinjdad town for lunch, we will go to Tinghir to experience the breathtaking views of the Todra valley and walk through the Todra Gorge with its orange towering cliffs. Todra Gorge’s canyons are about 1,000 feet deep, making it a popular climbing destination. We’ll finish the day in the verdant valley of  Dades. Consider staying in a riad. Dinner and an overnight.
